Part of our new 'Country Lady' separates collection - introducing our stunning new 'nipped in', fitted vintage style waistcoat.
We are really pleased with this fantastic waistcoat - based on patterns and images we found from the early 1940s. We wanted a waistcoat that emphasised the waist and shoulders to create that fantastic 1940s silhouette. However, the nipped in look created by this fancy piece of tailoring can translate to many eras.
This waistcoat buttons up higher than our Marlene style, has clever darts and panels to give a fantastic, figure hugging fit. Back adjuster aids wearer to create the nipped in waist. We have also included a handy ticket pocket.
Key features include:-
- single breasted with 5 replica horn buttons
- fully lined
- ticket pocket on wearer left
- back adjuster
**Ladies waistcoats are notoriously difficult to fit 'off the peg' since our bust points and sizes are so varied. We have tried to accommodate this in the design.

This is my first purchase from HOF and I’m really delighted with it! The thing I love most about this waistcoat is the shape - it really nips in at the waist to give you a wonderful silhouette (especially if you wear it with the matching skirt). The pointed front is incredibly flattering and the little front pocket looks great with a vintage handkerchief. The fabric is a subtle tweed and the colourway seems to go with everything. It’s very versatile and really does look like an original vintage piece.
