1940s Utility Buckle Jacket in Derby Wool
We have been so excited to bring you this stunning new 1940s Jacket. Inspired by an original from the V&A collection and labelled as utility, this is also a new and enhanced version of our ever popular Americana Jacket. We know you are going to love this beauty!
A rich vintage grey, enhanced with delicate blue and brown flecks for a quiet touch of luxury. This is a limited edition run.
Combining 1940s practicality and elegance - this jacket has all the features you love from the Americana such as the crop style, flattering blouson fit and top stitch details but with a buckle cincher for easy fit, straight sleeves with no fussy button cuff and an more open lapel collar.
This is certainly an indispensable jacket for any 1940s enthusiast - as it creates a VERY 1940s silhouette with its strong shoulders and nipped in waist but is effortless and can be casual or smart depending on how you style it.
Goes beautifully with our Hepburn or Swing Pants and 40s Skirts. Jacket is made in pure wool and we have enhanced the style with top stitching on areas such as the collar. Pocket flap details on front are a lovely detail but they are faux as many were at the time due to utility guidelines. Lined - straight sleeves.
