A little piece of Foxy rarity - our O'Hara made from the very last of our beautiful Berry fabric.
This completely one-off sample takes our much-loved 1940s Dream silhouette and dresses it in a sweeter, slightly more vibrant sister shade to our classic Aubergine. Berry is a rich purple with a brighter, fruitier depth - wonderfully flattering, unmistakably vintage and particularly beautiful against the sculpted lines of this dress.
Created from the last remaining length of this fabric at Foxy HQ, there is only one. No restock, no repeat - simply a rather gorgeous sample waiting for its forever wardrobe.
The Dream Dress takes its inspiration from the work of 1940s designer Dorothy O'Hara, famed for her masterful use of draping to enhance the female figure. Her designs celebrated strong shoulders, defined waists and slim hips, using clever gathers and ruching to create shape without losing elegance.
Our interpretation brings those wonderful details to life. Ruching across the bust frames the flattering square neckline, while gathered shoulders create that strong, unmistakable 1940s silhouette. At the hip, clever draping and gathers sweep into the faux-wrap skirt, creating beautiful shape while remaining wonderfully demure.
Three-quarter sleeves feature shaping darts at the inner elbow, while the self-covered belt draws everything neatly into the waist.
The result is pure film-noir femininity - sophisticated enough for cocktails and special occasions, but wonderfully easy to transform simply with your choice of accessories.
