1930s Marlene Trousers - pinstripe twill
The iconic Marlene trousers are back by popular demand in four new colour-ways - part of our androgynous 1930s tailoring collection.
Inspired by Marlene Dietrich's iconic and daring masculine look in the 1930s, these are based on peg trousers from our brother brand Cousin Jack and have been adapted for the feminine figure. These are super special trousers we are really proud of - we believe you wont find a fit quite like these anywhere else. We are thrilled with the 'super slick tailored' result and we are sure you will be too!
Style has a tailored high waist which really cinches the waist due to the internal waistband and structure. Can feel like a super comfy corset! Has integrated (almost invisible) belt feed through loops which you can use any slim belt with - or leave unbelted. Two side pockets and deep front pleats on a lovely wide leg with crease that falls into a bottom turn up.
Part lined for comfort and has a front zip fastening with internal button. We love the V feature in the centre back - a nod to vintage mens trousers of the period.
Pair with spear collar shirt for a super masculine look or soften with knitwear or a feminine blouse like our bonnie.
The wide leg is approx 21 inches circumference. Deep pleat on the front runs into a strong and slimming crease.
Produced in a non stretch poly/viscose twill.

LOVE these trousers, super comfortable and they look smart with a number of short vintage jackets that I have, I also recently wore them in a photoshoot 😃
I haven't owned a pair of trousers for over a decade, I'm more of a dress kind of girl. I'd searched for ages for a pair that suited me and at last I've found them! I'm a seamstress myself and really notice quality of fabric and construction. I'd mark these 10/10. They cost more that I'd usually pay but they're worth it. I'll defiantly be investing in more of House of Foxy.

The quality of these trousers is excellent and they look great but do be careful with sizing before ordering. I’m usually a 10/12 and bought the 12 but the waist was tiny! I returned them and bought the 14 which I’m really happy with. Highly recommended despite the snug waist on the smaller size.

Lovely trousers, but a bit short, I am 5tf 9in and they had to be taken down.
These are very nice trousers. They only reason I knocked off a star is that they fit smaller than the other trousers I have from HoF and are shorter in the rise. I wish I had sized up. Also, the flap that goes over the zipper sticks out a bit since there is no button. But I love that they're wool. Very nice overall.
I am in love with these trousers, they are exquisite! Impeccably tailored, great quality and they drape beautifully. The style is unique and I love the hidden belt loops. I think they are great value for money for the quality and look much better than anything on the high street at a similar price point. Size 10 is my usual size for trousers and these fit perfectly.

I like this twill fabric very much as it seams more durable than the wool fabrics and more fitting 'for not-winter' ;-). The brown tone is very versatile and goes together with so many other colours. The only thing I would change is the lining, please make it longer. It is ending at the thickest part of my thigh and thats not so comfortable.
First I only bought one pair. But I liked them so much that I had to get two mere pairs, so I wouldn’t wear the first pair out quickly.
Absolutely beautiful trousers, well made, and long enough for someone who hovers between a standard and a long leg usually. I've had to order a size up though. I'm consistently a UK size 12 in all jeans and trousers (size 12 hips, size 10 waist), but the 12 were too small in this style. The size guide IS correct (I didn't check it before) so measure yourself and don't just go with your usual size.

I purchased this in a uk 16 for a 33 inch waist/44 inch lower hip and they fit perfectly. I'm thrilled with the fit and the quality and wish that they were available in other all natural fiber colors besides charcoal wool (sad I missed the navy!). I think I might like them better than the Hepburn trousers I have in Moon wool as well, since you get a front closure and less fussy front pleats. I will need to have them hemmed as I don't wear heels, but I don't find that to be an issue.
Well cut waist helps you wear the style as it was meant to be worn. Great detail on cuffs. Feels fabulous on. Going to buy another pair if they keep making them. Also bought the vest, the two pieces look great together. Wearing the duo you look polished not costumed.
I like to try new things and I was very intrigued by these trousers.
Since I'm short I was worried about the crotch being too low or the trousers swallowing me up, but they fit beautifully! I only needed to hem them a bit, but what's new.
I prefer side zippers, but the tailoring is so good you can't even tell the zipper is in front. No unsightly bulges.
The lambswool is top quality and the upper lining is very much appreciated.
I'll wear them with my most feminine blouses. So classy!
Very classy high quality trousers! Just love the chalk stripe fabric made from high quality wool. I think I will order the matching waistcoat to complete the look.
Would be great to longer the linning a bit, but I am very very sensitive to itchy wool (it is not itchy!)
