1920s Alma Drop Waist Blouse - Art Deco Fan Georgette
A new style for fans of the 20s! Beautiful drop waist blouse crafted in exquisite art deco print viscose georgette. A real head turner that created such a unexpected response at our recent fashion show that we decided we simply had to make it happen.

As we slowly expand our 1920s collection; we wanted to explore separates from this decade and how to help you build a workable vintage inspired wardrobe. After much research and pondering, our new 1920s Alma blouse emerged together with new a-symmetric skirt. The challenge in designing for this decade is the waist position - how can we give you styles that you can blend with your existing wardrobe to get the most of your Foxy garment? I think we nailed it!
This blouse is the epitome of elegance and was Inspired by late-1920s blouses seen in photos and fashion plates. Read more in our guide to 1920s dresses for the modern woman. A simple V neckline is framed by soft gathers into shoulder yokes and iconic long drop tie at centre front. A longer length blouse than we are used to, in order for it to rest on the hip - perfect for creating that drop waisted look. A drop waist sits low on the hip rather than at the natural waist, the signature 1920s silhouette. Here a deep waistband ties on the left, knotted or in a bow. The shoulder yokes are fitted panels across the shoulders, with soft gathers below. Georgette is a light, semi-sheer, slightly crinkled fabric, which is why a slip is included. The Art Deco fan print is a geometric design of radiating curves, a motif closely linked with the 1920s.
Check out these wondrous sleeves! Long and billowy (whch we just adore in georgette) finished with a deep cuff that fastens with rust fabric covered buttons. Move the buttons if you wish a tighter fit on the wrist.
Also included is a silk blend under-slip/cami in cherry red for modesty!
