Lana Cable Crop Sweater - Mustard Merino Wool
Autumn's brings the gift of gorgeous knits and Lana does not disappoint. This stunning 1940s-inspired sweater is created in soft Yorkshire Merino wool and is sure to keep you glowing right into the colder months.
When a friend lent us her great grandmother's knitting book, we were inspired! Lana is the culmination of a few styles we saw in those pages. The design incorporates period-appropriate details including the slash neckline, a straight, horizontal neck cut sitting close to the collarbone rather than curved. This is a hallmark of authentic 1940s knitwear, which favoured a flatter, simpler finish than later decades, alongside cable knit texturing and above-elbow length sleeves.
This sweater is cropped at the right length to pair beautifully with all our 1940s natural waisted separates including 1940s swing trousers, Land Girl breeches and 1940s Hepburn Pants.
We are lucky enough to have many fantastic yarn suppliers right on our doorstep in Yorkshire. The main problem was deciding which one! We settled on a top quality soft merino wool. Nothing but the best for our Foxies!

Stunning 40s inspired jumper in the most perfect autumn colour.Sizing is spot on, I ordered the medium and it fits my size 12 frame perfectly, the wool is super soft and non itchy.An absolute treat!
Top Qualität
Great jumper. It's just the right length for me (tall with a long torso) to cover the waistband of my skirts/trousers but not by too much. The material is lovely and soft and just the right weight to be properly warm without being stifling. It also moulds nicely around the body (I find some knits can be a bit stiffer). It's very comfortable. I also love the colour, which is very much like the picture. One of my favourite jumpers.
