1940s Sweetheart Blouse - Black
A fantastic new blouse - with added finesse. We are simply thrilled with this new 1940s blouse and fans of authentic vintage will love all the 1940s details we have added.
We have not held on this beauty.
Wear the collar open or button up to the top, using the loop with the hidden covered button. This makes it super authentic. Sleeves are long and full with a slim cuff which fastens with 2 covered buttons. We've also added a small shoulder pad in the sleeve head - which again creates that iconic 1940s silhouette.
Since it is mainly designed to be tucked into natural/high waisted trousers or skirts, the 5 *shell buttons stop just above the waist. Beautiful tailored darts into the waist create a flatter blouson look.
Check out those pockets! Fabulous chevron shape pocket with feature fold. Whilst you wont be able to put a great deal of modern items in those pockets - they simply look darling and just scream 1940s.

I have been thinking about purchasing this beautiful blouse for a while as I wasn't sure I could justify the spend - but I am so glad I did! It is so pretty and lightweight. I saw this shirt on Olivia Wilde in the film ‘The Invite’ and fell in love with it. I was so pleased to have found it but I was worried it might not work on me but it arrived and it is more beautiful than I could have imagined. The colour is gorgeous and the fit is perfect. I have this blouse in black and love it. Again sizing has changed. But this time the colour wasn't for me. I wish they did it in white. The style is beautiful.
Hey Penny, we've tried and tested the sweetheart in ivory and we weren't happy with the fact you could see the facing - this isn't so visable in the other colours - but we really appreciate your want for more and your feedback. Please do contact us regarding your sizing isssues. There will be minute differences in sizes between the sizes due to the different dyes in the fabrics, but not so drastic... The blouses (I bought two) are really pretty and they go well together with the skirt I also bought as seen in the picture on this page. Only thing is that I don't like the buttons very much, she short sleeve blouses have matching buttons which I prefer best. Other than that, I love the color of the blouse and they fit perfectly.

I love this top. If you wear high waisted bottoms, you’ll probably get along with this top just fine. I’m a U.S. size XS (bust ~32 inches) and the size 8 fit me great. You may want to consider steaming this top frequently, as it gets wrinkled easily.

This blouse is simply gorgeous!! The fit is so excellent! I really like the shoulder part is on spot - really on my shoulders and not hanging down! The fabric is wonderful, feels very high quality and I really love the color. I got the lilac one in 24 (and I could have even sized down to 22, so in case you are in between sizes you could size down). I had an eye an that blouse for a long time but as a busty lady I was not sure if it would fit me - but it looks so great on me!! Like all the HoF wonderful pieces! I wear it with a pencil skirt and reeeeally wish and hope that HoF will bring back soon all the other colors again in all the sizes!! I am earning for the peach and vanilla now!!!
