1930s Wrap Blouse in Oakline Stripe
Our stunning 'The Long Afternoon' Autumn/Winter Capsule proudly reintroduces our Wrap blouse, our foxy-favourite 30s blouse, now available in our seasonal 'Oakline Stripe' print - creamy tones intersected by twin stripes, like twin trunks in a woodland grove...
Step into the fading light of the 1930s, where leisure meets learning, and a crisp autumn breeze carries the promise of the season ahead. The Last Matinee capsule recalls an age of quiet refinement.
This versatile blouse is the perfect addition to your wardrobe, offering endless styling possibilities for seasons to come. Whether you choose to layer it, tie it in different ways, tuck it in, or leave it out, its bohemian elegance radiates a vibrant energy that you'll love to wear time and time again.
The style includes a full wrap with ties long enough to wrap right round and tie at the front or at the back. Shirring at the shoulder is a lovely nod to our 30s/40s favourite dress features.
Sleeves are full and reach elbow on most.
Fabric is a specially produced lightweight, beautiful quality viscose/polyamide blend and has a natural slightly crushed feel and sheen. Feels and looks very vintage - is lightweight and perfect for layering. Goes great with our hepburn pants and swirl skirts.
1930s styling includes:-
- shirring on shoulders
- long ties
- angels sleeves with gathers at sleeve head
Designer notes:-
We've been asked for a 1930s wrap style blouse for a while. There aren't that many examples of patterns, imagery or originals to take influence on... However, I found some great examples of a wrap style that were created as part of a set, so this blouse has been adapted from those as a stand alone piece. Typical features included inclusion of shirring and full sleeves.
