1930s Tailored Jacket - Maple Wool
We have taken inspiration here from many sources to bring you a 1930s inspired blazer style jacket that will complete a plethora of outfits as part of our new Ā 'The Long Afternoon'Ā Autumn/Winter Capsule.
With some stunning vintage features - this jacket, made here in Yorkshire will fit with '40s styles too.
If you're a fan of good tailoring and enjoy a sophisticated yet feminine style, you will love this stunning 1930s inspired jacket. We have taken inspiration from photos, old patterns and catalogues from the mid to late 1930s - but this jacket will take you through to the 40s too.
Jacket definately has features seen on many 'country' or 'active' styles so popular in the 1930s where outdoor pursuits were becoming de rigeur. Note the 'action back' inverted pleat which we saw on many styles and added into this for both functionality and ease of fit. This inverted pleat we echoed in the patch pocket styles on the front.
Jacket is quite tailored to fit nicely on the waist to give a slimming and elegant silhouette - two button fastening. Notch lapel and width of lapel reflects the styles of the time. Two piece sleeve is a particular favourite of the designer and gives a lovely feel and fit/
This exquisite jacket goes beautifully with the new 1930s Front Pleat skirt, Plus fours, whirlaway skirt and waistcoat in the same fabric.
Jacket is made from a wool blend and is fully lined in acetate
