1940s Vera Tea Dress - Ocean Pearl

Welcoming the return of our 1940s Vera tea dress, slightly revamped with an improved fit and in scrumptious Port red. Feels SO vintage! This will be your 'go to' tea dress this season - wear here everywhere, its effortless and will stand the test of time.

The wonders of the iconic tea dress are exemplified here in Vera - this is a style we brought in many years ago and have given a wee revamp for some extra Foxy magic. We love tea dress styles because we get a dress that feels super feminine and flowing - can be worn casually for daytime and easily spruced up for evening. The fit is comfortable and flattering yet still makes you feel like a million dollars!

The Vera dress has been inspired by the beautiful styles of the mid to late 1930s/1940s and blends authentic styling with modern fit and manufacture.

This dress has some wonderful style-lines including a deep V neckline with shirring at the shoulder and larger sections of shirring under the bust. This creates figure and bust enhancing draping across the upper bodice. Sleeves are loose fitting, finishing just below the elbow and fasten with a button - for easy adjustment. The Skirt is flared and we changed the panels to use the benefits of bias to skim fit around the body. This is unlined due to the bias nature of the skirt. Finally, we have a back zip so that the dress is easy to wear.

Made in our new Foxy evergreen print 'Ocean Pearl'. A delicate print set against deep navy, decorated with soft blue, red and ivory. Versatile to fit right into your collection and style with your vintage pieces, season after season, year after year!

100% 'eco-vero' rayon/viscose marocain crepe from sustainable source, feels very 'vintage' and is a similar to the fabrics worn at this time.
