They’re a lovely, vibrant red colour with a white button (looks great with a matching white blouse/tennis shoes). They’re very comfortable as well as flattering.
Size wise, definitely go by the waist. However, if you’re inbetween waist measurements I’d say to size up, as there’s not really any stretch there. The shorts flare out at the hips.
I’m constantly amazed at the quality of HoF clothing. If you’re on the fence about purchasing any of their items, I’d say go for it; you won’t be disappointed.

I got these ones after waiting the whole winter for their restock! and let me tell you they are so SO beautiful! I own these shorts in several colours and they are my summer staple. I'm 168 (for reference), I have quite a long torso, my waist is 27 inch (or a little less) and my hips are 36in. I also have hip dips. I got a UK8 and the fit is great (go by your waist size!). These ones have the perfect rise length to be comfortable, the perfect leg length to cover my legs and still feel short and cute, and the pleats start exactly where my hip dips start (they are not super pronounced but they are there, and these shorts camouflage them perfectly). The material is thick, and the colour is vibrant. There can be some piling happening if you wear a satchel or shoulder handbag (so not leather/pleather), because of the friction, but it's hardly noticeable, it only happened with my khaki shorts so so far, so good! These look lovely with the 40's blouse in soft coral, and I've even worn them on hikes (way more comfortable and breezy than sport shorts).
You will not regret getting them!

I normally hate shorts but these are kinda like a skirt but are also shorts so I will be able to happily cycle in them! The colour is a lovely rich red and the fabric is comfortable with a nice bit of give. I could have probably sized down in these but I’m really happy with the fit!
