This 1930s wrap style skirt is based on some original images with a bit of guesswork and modern manufacturing thrown in. This is a summer version - made in moss green linen from famous lancashire mill; Brisbane Moss.
Typical of the 30s, this skirt reaches mid to low calf on average height ladies. The style is fitted down the hip and kicks out slightly at the bottom to create that iconic 1930s style silhouette.
Skirt is a faux wrap style with fitted waistband and has 4 shell buttons down the front left hand side. There is a handy patch pocket on the wearer right.
Fabric: 100% linen
Length from natural waist: approx. 29 inches not including waistband
We recommend dry clean on this garment
This skirt is made from fabric that no stretch in it. The waist band is fixed with button fastening. Skirt is very fitted at the hip at the top so we advise to select size via waist and hip.

The perfect skirt for hot weather! It's a clever design so while it looks like a wrap skirt, it doesn't fall open like a true wrap style can. The linen feels high quality and that it will age well. I love the wooden buttons and that it has a pocket (large enough to fit a phone or small purse).
My size was out of stock so I bought the next size up and moved the buttons for the perfect fit. In retrospect getting the larger size worked out better as there's more room to move in the hips than my normal size might have had.
The style looks like something a character from 'Death on the Nile' might wear. It just needs a matching linen jacket or top to go with it!
