A fantastic new blouse - with added finesse. We are simply thrilled with this new 1940s blouse and fans of authentic vintage will love all the 1940s details we have added.
We have not held on this beauty.
Wear the collar open or button up to the top, using the loop with the hidden covered button. This makes it super authentic. Sleeves are long and full with a slim cuff which fastens with 2 covered buttons. We've also added a small shoulder pad in the sleeve head - which again creates that iconic 1940s silhouette.
Since it is mainly designed to be tucked into natural/high waisted trousers or skirts, the 5 *shell buttons stop just above the waist. Beautiful tailored darts into the waist create a flatter blouson look.
Check out those pockets! Fabulous chevron shape pocket with feature fold. Whilst you wont be able to put a great deal of modern items in those pockets - they simply look darling and just scream 1940s.

Lovely blouse, I am usually a size 10 but went for a 12 based on other reviews saying this style could be a little tight on the shoulders and availability. It is however exactly true to size and therefore is a little on the large side and think the 10 would have been the correct size. So should have gone for my usual size. It is a lovely colour though so have decided to keep it anyway! It is actually a bit squarer and shorter than it looks in the picture, so definitely a blouse to tuck in to a skirt or trousers.
I was a little hesitant to purchase due to the price, but I'm so glad I did! You're paying for the outstanding quality that just outshines all other vintage repro companies - the blouse has an almost tailored fit, sits beautifully on the shoulders and is made from very high quality material. It's very hard to find blouses (modern or otherwise!) that aren't somewhat see through, I was shocked when I tried this blouse on over a black bra and you couldn't see it at all! I will definitely be back for more
