A brand new 1920s inspired dress with drop waist and tied bow feature.

This dress has the classic mid to late 1920s style features including a contrast fabric drop waist with bow feature on one side to give a classic 20s 'asymetrical' look. Skirt below drop waist panel is cut into hankerchief hem- giving a typical late 1920s finish. The rounded neckline is so elegant with its simple drop sleeves - it screams Downton Abbey and (our personal fav) House of Elliot.

Dress is made in our exclusive vintage print - 'Nightblossom' which features deco flroal design on a navy background with plain ivory drop waist panel to show contrast. This dress is so beautiful and surprisingly flattering.

Key features include:-

- side zip
- drop waist band in ivory with bow
- hankerchief skirt under drop waist

Proudly made in Great Britain

Length: nape to hem approx 40 inches

Fabric: outer is 100% viscose crepe - unlined
Dry clean recommended

Dress has no stretch. Choose by hip size. Not particularly good on those with a large bust but worth a try as we have tried to accommodate modern figures.

This style is perfect for apple or pillar - not good for hourglass or pear.

I used this as an evening dress during a cruise I recently went on, and loved it - both the cruise and the dress. The only thing I will say is that the white/off white sash is on the see through side. However, I easily remedied this by tacking the rest of the sash across it, which still left enough room for a small bow at the side. I was going to go for a size larger than my normal HoF size as I was worried that my normal size wouldn't give me the correct 20's shape, but the size up wasn't available. However, I'm glad it wasn't, as the neckline is quite large and would have probably been off my shoulder in a larger size, and my normal size was still loose enough to look correct. I would recommend getting your normal HoF size.
