We are thrilled to annouce the arrival of our 40s inspired swing pants!
These have been painstakingly researched and are adapted from a late 30s pattern. With a few tweaks here and there, the pattern has been altered enough to fit the modern woman and our modern eye without compromising the vintage details.
High waisted with four lovely quality mock shell buttons on the left. Wide leg with turn-up at the bottom. So comfy and perfect for dancing!

These are a mid weight fabric, warm but breatheable. Rayon/poly mix with a little bit of spandex for stretch, hand wash recommended.
**Due to dark dye - we recommend to wash before wearing.
Inside leg 31 inches, select size by natural waist measurements.

These trousers are high waisted - going approx. 1 inch above natural waist. Trousers can be harder to fit people due to there being extra measurements to consider such as body length as well as waist, hip and thigh. However, this style has proved very popular and seems to fit people well.
The leg width isn't as wide as our 30s styles (fabric wasn't as readily available in the 40s!) but measures 56cms at the widest leg width part on our size 10.
So - we advise to choose by waist size but also to consider hip and your thigh measurement. This is not a great style for pear shapes but great for pillar shapes or inverted triangles.
Our trousers are made with fabric that has a touch of stretch in it - we call this a 'comfort stretch'. This means that there is a little margin if your measurements don't come up exactly like our table below.

Nice trousers, lining makes them comfortable, good fit and quality material. A little too long though. I am reasonably tall, 5’8 and they trail on the floor. Can only wear with heels and even then they almost reach the floor at the heel. Could be a bit shorter to accommodate average height but otherwise lovely.
I was beyond delighted with these. They fit beautifully! Which I was not expecting. I'm very petite and I thought I'd have to have them taken it before I'd be able to wear them. So imagine my delight that they fit like a glove. I did have to hem them a lot a lot. I'm only 5' tall and I ended up taking 5" off them.
