This skirt is made from fabric that has a touch of stretch in it. The waist band is now slightly stretchy and wider with a button. It does fit around the hip at the top but there is stretch, so we advise to select size by your waist.

This skirt is lovely. Good, sturdy quality in a swinging feminine fabric. The color is stunning eye catching. Perfect to match your lipstick to. For sizing, I recommend taking the hips into consideration as much as the waist. I have a 27.5 inch waist, but 40 inch hips, a definite hourglass, and I originally the 12 because the description said the fabric was stretchy. It IS stretchy and the 12 fit, but it revealed more than I was comfortable with, so I exchanged for the 14. I have to move the button to snug the waist some, or have it altered to truly fit my waist, but it is completely worth it because I LOVE this skirt. If you're on the curvier end of the hips spectrum, you want to take that to account though. Overall, a lovely and happy addition to my vintage style collection.
