This lovely cardigan is the perfect partner for vintage style separates and dresses alike.
Based on knitwear patterns from the 1930s & 40s, this cardigan has all the mid century hallmarks; a high crew neckline, seven vintage style buttons and a natural waisted 'crop' fit. (Modern length cardigans just don't work with vintage styles)
Can be worn buttoned up or loose but designed to be close fitting. Knit style is cable - a classic vintage look.
**NB - by popular demand this new version has full length sleeves!
- high crew neckline
- deep ribbing for close crop fit
- vintage style cable stitch
- vintage style acrylic buttons
- wrist length sleeves (approx 60cm from shoulder seam to end)
Fabric: 50% cotton 50% acrylic (vegan-friendly)
Length from centre back to waist: approx 46cm
Washing instructions: 30 degrees - wash as wool
*please note that colours do vary on monitors so we may not be able to accurately represent a colour -although we try our very best
There is natural stretch in the knit but we recommend you follow bust measurements - if you have a larger bust, the cardigan will accommodate but will seem shorter.
We have created the below guide to advise:-
XSmall: UK Size 6 - 8 (bust size up to 34")
Small: UK Size 10 - 12 (bust size up to 36.5")
Medium: 12 - 14 (bust size up to 39")
Large: 14 - 16 (bust size up to 42")
XLarge: 18 upwards (bust size up to 44"+)
Garment measurements (when flat & unstretched):-
(back neck to hem)
NB* Please note that the above measurements are approximate and some variation between garments may occur as a result of the garment's knitted nature.
This is a great summer-weight cardigan and the medium fits me perfectly (39"-30"-39"). The Elsie hoop earrings in dusty pink looked on the site as if they would be closer in color, so I bought them along with this cardigan However, this cardigan is more of a salmon color, still pink, but more vibrant. It matches the Daisy Chain shirtwaister dress really well.
An adorable cardigan in a really interesting color, a peachy pink. I went with my usual medium and it fits perfectly. Thank you so much for making vintage style knitwear in the shorter 1930s/40s length!
