Produced in our signature heavy crepe to pair with many garments in our range - this 1940s inspired turban has been based on an original vintage pattern and adapted for modern manufacturing.
The turban styles were popular in the 1940s when headwear was 'de rigeur' and gives the wearer a few days of hair style rest. Padded rose/twist at the front is a nice size for daywear - not too large or weighty. Turban is shaped to cover the head and has a line of gathers at the back with a strip of integrated elastic at the back for security of fit.
Turban is a snug fit and not especially good for covering buclky curlers - accurate measurements are difficult to give but outer edge of turban measures 21.5" with an additional 1.5" of stretch in the fabric.
Created in our rust heavy crepe - specifically to match: 1940s Grable, Betty, whirlaway skirts etc

This is quickly become one of my favourite pieces. It matches my other rust coloured House of Foxy items beautifully, and it so comfortable to wear. Working from home, I don't always feel like doing my hair, and this turban makes me looking quickly and effortlessly elegant and presentable for work video calls. I will definitely be purchasing it in other colours too.
I bought this turban in rust to match a skirt I bought and it matches perfectly in colour to other house of foxy rust coloured items.
It's a lovely turban, stretchy and comfortable but as the description says it wouldn't be suitable for wearing over rollers as it'd be far too tight, you are fine with hair up in a bun or similar style under it though I found and I have long waist length hair.
The turban is already tied and stitched into a lovely knot/twist which is a perfect size not too large so it's comfortable on your head.
It's a beautifully made turban, perfect to cover hair when you don't want to or don't have time to style your hair. It's a lovely fabric the colour is stunning it really is a perfect finishing touch to a 40s style outfit.
