A splendid new addition to our 40s separates collection - these fabulous new trousers are an authentic rework of an original 1940s trousers pattern adapted for the modern figure and in modern fabric.
We have selected a new heavier crepe for these trousers - you will really appreciate the quality. Inspired by chic hollywood icon - Katherine Hepburn - who rocked the trouser suit in the 1940s.

Very wide leg style is great for dancing and was very typical in the 30s & 40s during the rise of sports casual styles.
Leg length: 32" (approx 31.5 inside seam and 0.5 into rise)
Fabric: Top qualiry rayon/poly with a touch of elastene for stretch

These trousers fit on the natural waist but do have a nice wide waist band which can fit slightly high on some people. The fabric has some stretch but this should be considered as a comfot stretch.
This is definitely a style that will create shape but will require correct underwear ;-)

Very nice model with lovely details. The color is, as earlier mentioned here, towards a dusty pink. I found the waist a bit large, UK10 was slightly too large for my 71 cm waist, will have it sewn in about 5cm.
My main concern is that the material is not as thick as I expected, making the edge of the pockets visible and a bit pointy.
Overall however good pants :)
These are my second pair of these trousers as I love them so much. I am tall with a curvy waist/hip ratio and find this silhouette so flattering - they create a nice vertical line and show my curves while still being sophisticated and professional. They are also super comfy! The turn-ups of this pair are a little more floppy, but I fixed them in place myself with a needle and thread, and that did the trick (I sewed through the back layer of fabric of the turn-ups, but not both, so it doesn't show). I love the colour - a little pink-ish and goes well with most of the cooler-toned colours in my wardrobe, which is rare for a beige.
