Full-cut, dashing 'sailor' slacks ideal for swing dancing and other sporting activities. You'll cut a smart figure in these!
In homage to the iconic sailor styles which influenced many 1930s fashions, we've created these - the fabric is medium weight with a touch of stretch for comfort. A nice quality fabric.
Very wide leg style is typical of the 1930s and was a staple in the 30s Sears catalogue.
Key Vintage Features:-
- bib style front
- 6 buttons
- deep waist band on natural waist
- wide leg
Leg circumference: 25 inches approx
Leg length: 32": There is no turn up on this style making them easy to take up for those who are shorter - but we have given these a deep hem of 2 inches so that taller people can increase length if required
Fabric: Rayon/poly with a touch of elastene for stretch
Care: 30 degrees machine wash
These trousers fit on the natural waist but do have a nice wide waist band which can fit slightly high on some people. The fabric has some stretch.

Leg length: 31.5". There is no turn up on this style making them easy to take up for those who are shorter - but we have given these a deep hem of 2 inches so that taller people can increase length if required.
I absolutely love these. I bought two pairs in different colours. So flattering. Quite a soft and drapey fabric with no stiffness in it.
The sizing is on the small side. I normally wear a size 6-8 and the 8 is just right. I have a size 6 waist and size 8 hips and the waistband is a very close fit (which I like). If you're bigger in the waist maybe size up.
These wear like trackpants but are a bazillion times more dressed up, favourites in no time! The customer service was super helpful with sizing advice as well. My waist is 67cm (26.3 in) and my hip hovers around 95cm (37.4 in) and size 10 fits perfectly. Minor criticism: they'de be even better with pockets, might not be historically accurate though. Also be aware that they are quite susceptible to visible panty or suspender lines. If there's a bulkier seam on your derriere, it will be visible through the trousers.
They hopefully won't be my last pair of sailor pants.
