A practical yet elegant 1940s style jacket based on the American deadstock jacket from the wartime. We have been inspired by the best bits and enhanced...
An indispensable jacket for any 1940s enthusiast - creates a VERY 1940s silhouette with its strong shoulders and nipped in waist where jacket body blousons over.
Goes beautifully with our sailor or swing pants and 40s whirlaway skirts. Jacket is made from a top quality tweed weave wool mix and we have enhanced the style with dark brown top stitching on buttonholes, collar, centre front & waist. We have lined the body in our seasonal print: deco floral crepe
The other key 40s features are the bishop style sleeve with button cuff and the classic 1940s style collar.

As always, i'm stunned by this House of Foxy piece. The quality, the details, the shape... Everything is perfect, this jacket is worth its price. Gives a gorgeous 40's silhouette.
I would recommend to order the size up, as the fabric doesn't stretch and it's quite fitted at the waist.
I decided to splurge and buy this jacket and I must say I'm happy I did it. Its made from a medium weight kind of sturdy material (VERY good quality), and it's lined with a navy floral rayon crepé, so it's not itchy or rough on the skin. The silhouette is true to the 1940 period, and the collar is stunning! My measurements are 36-27-36, and I went with a size 10. It fits perfectly nice, but be aware that the jacket sits exactly on your natural waist, and if you are busty I would size up (or it would sit too close to the breast area).
