A stunning reproduction 1930s blouse that is packed with vintage detailing.
This beautiful blouse is based on photographs, original vintage patterns and an original over-dress in our archive. We havent held back in detail here.
A flattering shape, this blouse has the key late 1930s features of shoulder yokes, shirring under and above the bustline creating a shapely ruched bust area. A deep V shape with 10 functional self-covered buttons into a classic peplum.
Shoulders are strong with a pleated sleeve and shoulder roll. Full bishops sleeves finish with a button cuff.
Manufactured in our mustard rayon crepe - we have tried to source fabric as close as possible to the original used.

The blouse style would be considered a 'tailored fit'.
It is fitted under the bust through to the waist. Due to the gathers above and below bust, there is a little bit more room than on size chart.
Fabric has no stretch in it - so if you are between sizes on waist measurement - it would be advisable to select the size above.

This blouse is absolutely beautiful. The crepe has a lovely, graceful drape to it and a very authentic feel. I’m very petite and was worried that the neckline would be too low on me as that’s a common problem for me, but while it sits slightly lower on me than on the model, it still provides full coverage. I will absolutely be investing in this blouse in other colors!
I am obsessed with the cut and detailing in these blouses. They are so beautifully tailored. The zipper on the side is very convenient. I have broad shoulders and this was very flattering on me. The crepe is lovely and looks authentic. Even allowing for the high waisted look it's cut a bit short in the torso. Other than that, this is a stunning, versatile article of clothing.
